Every journey needs a crew.
Sometimes that crew is large and full of moving parts.
And sometimes it is small, simple, and perfectly suited to the adventure ahead.
For this journey, the crew is made up of three.
One woman.
Two very enthusiastic companions.
And a shared curiosity about the world waiting beyond the horizon.
Before the road unfolds and the van becomes our little home on wheels, it feels right to introduce the team who will be traveling together.
Sandy
The one who had the quiet idea that life could be lived differently.
For many years I have been drawn toward a simpler life. One that allows more time outdoors, more space for reflection, and more freedom to explore the natural world.
Living Simply on Wheels grew from that desire.
Not as an escape from life, but as a way of returning to what matters most.
Slow mornings.
Wild places.
Thoughtful living.
This blog is a place to share that journey as it unfolds.
🐾Arlo
Arlo brings a joyful kind energy to the crew.
The kind that believes every new place is worth exploring and every walk holds the possibility of adventure.
He approaches the world with curiosity and enthusiasm, which makes him the perfect companion for life on the road.
New beaches, forest trails, and quiet campsites are all invitations for discovery.
Arlo will likely be the first one out of the van each morning, ready to investigate whatever the day has waiting for us.
🐾 Sage
Sage brings a little spark of personality to the crew.
She is sassy, confident, and full of her own very clear opinions about the world. There is a certain attitude about her that suggests she knows exactly where she is going and expects the rest of us to keep up.
But beneath that bold spirit is a quiet curiosity.
Sage has a habit of searching for the small treasures that most of us would walk straight past. Flowers tucked beside a path. Interesting leaves. The occasional feather discovered in the grass.
Wherever we stop, Sage seems determined to investigate every corner as though the landscape itself might be hiding something beautiful.
She reminds us that adventure is not always found in big moments.
Sometimes it is discovered in the small details scattered along the ground.
The Journey Ahead
Together we make a small but determined crew.
Three companions heading toward a slower way of living.
There will be coastal roads and forest tracks.
Quiet mornings beside the ocean.
Long walks through wild places.
And many simple moments that become meaningful simply because they are shared.
The road ahead is still unfolding.
But wherever it leads, this little crew will be exploring it together.
A Quiet Reminder
Some of the best journeys are the ones shared with good companions.
Until the next quiet road.
